I bought more books to share for my dog loving friends and family.A must read if you love dogs. There is also a dangerous book for boys and girls, but for me.not nearly as amusing. I was laughing so hard, out loud, that my dogs must have thought I was crazy. I was reading to my 4 dogs one night while lying in bed. This is something I don't normally do however, since I was reading a "dog" book, I thought I'd share.
Given this approach I rate it a 4 out of 5 stars. Having read The Dangerous Book for Boys and having seen all the books emulating this formula, I was a little hesitant to give this one a try. It handles well known jokes and doesn't delve any deeper. The star deduction is due to the fact that there really isn't anything new here aside from the perpective. I read an excerpt and it was pretty darned cute. And that pretty much summarizes the book, pretty darned cute.Always told from the perspective of the pooch, this book addresses stereotypical issues such as wearing stupid little costumes, relations with Mail Carriers, and different kinds of play. It's a quick read so the joke doesn't get a chance to wear too thin. It seems to realize that it has to strike quickly and get out before the reader gets stale with the subject matter.Just enough there to keep you interested and amused without dragging out and becoming a parody of itself.
They have enjoyed the book and said the book was hilarious. I bought this book for my adult children who have several dogs.
It provides new insight to the world dogs let us live in. This book is too much fun. It was great to read aloud when the family was in town and my husband even liked it (he plays video games) If you have dogs you will love it too.
the video. Was searching for "dog stories, dog comedy", and this was one of the first to check out. I just didn't have to get off the couch and put Chapstick on my cheeks to combat the tears from laughing so hard. Don't get me wrong, because I loved the book. The video ad for the book was so funny I made everybody at home watch it. What a letdown the book was vs.
